Terms & Conditions

Class schedule

  • Classes are scheduled weekly, excluding the 5th weeks of the month (reserved for makeup).

  • Coaches and SwimCareSG are not responsible for lesson starting late due to the part of the student. If coach is late, they will extend lesson to complete the full duration.

  • Coaches and SwimCareSG are not liable for any death, injuries or damages arising outside of lesson time.

 

Class fee payment

  • One-time refundable deposit of $80/pax - Refunded on 1 month notice of termination.

  • Monthly payment of lessons (non-refundable/no offset) due before the end of the last day of the month. Billed one week before.

  • If student is unable to attend any lessons in the next month due to plans made in advance: give notice of the dates before payment is collected for the next month. Lessons will not be charged for those dates.

  • Payment after the last day of the month is subjected to $20 administrative fee & lessons will be suspended until payment is received.

  • Exceptions in payment

    • Unable to attend classes for 1 month - Not charged for this month but charged for the next month & slot is reserved. If payment not made, slot is not reserved.

    • Unable to attend classes for >1 month - Not charged & slot is not reserved.

 

Wet weather

  • Using the "myENV” app by the NEA: Classes will proceed with light rain (hourly rainfall =/<2.5mm/h). Heavy rain (hourly rainfall >2.5mm/h)/lightning, class cannot proceed in the pool.

  • In the event of expected rain, coaches & parents will monitor the rain condition closer to the class time (good estimate will be during the 2h window from class time) to decide if class should be cancelled.

  • If class time has started & unable to continue due to heavy rain/lightning, class will continue on dry sheltered land with kids friendly stretching and exercises, unless both coach & parent agree that child/location is not suitable.

    • If dry land is not done, remaining class time will be made up by extending subsequent lessons to make up the duration.

 

Class cancellation

At least 2h notice of class cancellation for any reasons (excluding rain); cancellations made within 2h from the scheduled class time/no shows will be considered a chargeable class.

Makeup arrangements

For paid lessons missed (cancellations >2h before lessons) due to falling ill/wet weather/personal reasons.

  • Option 1: Arrange makeup with the original coach at mutual availability (separate date/extend lesson to accommodate make up).

  • Option 2: Arrange makeup with a replacement coach based on mutual availability (separate date/extend lesson to make up).

  • Option 3: Store a class credit (1 year validity) - can be used anytime for a makeup class, based on mutual availability with the original coach or a replacement coach.

Adjustments in class duration (Applies to 1-2 & group classes)

Classes will proceed even without full attendance.

  • 2 Pax 45 mins class ($50/pax)

    • 1 Pax attend: class converted to 30mins

  • Group class 3-5 Pax 45mins ($40/pax)

    • 3 or more Pax attend: class proceed as usual

    • 2 Pax attend: class converted to 35mins

    • 1 Pax attend: class converted to 25mins

  • The above will be adjusted accordingly for 30mins & 60mins classes. A top up can be arranged if you wish to have the full class duration.

Termination

At least 1 month (30 days) notice of termination; excludes duration of inactive attendance (months which are not charged) & clearing of class credits.

In the event there are amendments to the T&Cs, students will be notified sufficiently in advance.​​​

Benefits of Dry Land Stretching & Exercises

Improves Flexibility​

  • Allows better range of motion, improving technique & efficiency in the water.

  • Example: Flexibility in the shoulders to rotate is beneficial for freestyle arm pull.

  • Example: Flexibility in the ankles to flex is beneficial for breaststroke kick position.

Increase Strength

  • Kids friendly body-weight exercises build muscular strength in core, legs, & arms.

​

Enhanced Coordination & Balance

  • E.g. Balancing drills, leg swings, and dynamic stretches can improve coordination and balance.

  • Ensures that kids have better control over their movements when swimming.

Better Posture & Alignment

  • Promote core strength and proper alignment can help kids avoid poor posture habits, which can negatively affect their swimming technique.

Developed Stamina

  • E.g. Jumping jacks can boost a child's cardiovascular fitness.

  • Swim longer distances or at higher intensities without fatigue.
